An Education Revolution

I worked on three courses tonight.

First,  I completed some coursework in Google Search with Dan Russell, a senior research scientist at Google.

Then I began two new Coursera classes: A History of the World Since 1300 taught by Jerry Adelman of Princeton, and Greek and Roman Mythology by Peter Struck of Penn.

The courses are free. And incredibly convenient. I can watch the video lectures (in small chunks) in bed, and do the assignments and assessments from just about anywhere at anytime that works for me.

I can even compress the video lectures by running the video at increased speed.

Quality education for free for all. On demand. Remarkable.
